The entire grade 5/6’s were putting their bags in the bus, and my bag was heavy as, and it was only for 3 days. I said goodbye to my mum and grandma and sat in the bus (I sat in the small bus).We were off, we were off to Camp Rumbug! On the way to Camp Rumbug we stopped at a place called Kooweerup. We had our snack and were off again. When we were in the bus we were surrounded by beautiful views and farmyards. When we reached at Camp Rumbug we all had lunch.
Day 1
Our first activity was Titanic Raft. It’s a square boat with no sides and has 4 tiny paddles attached.4 people can sit on it on a time and you had to get to the other side. I got to have 3 turns. After that we had our snack. We had apples and oranges and cordial. I think our 2nd activity was canoeing but I'm not confident. I forgot to tell you that when we reached Camp Rumbug we were told our cabins and to put our stuff. At night we had dinner and went for the night walk.
Day 2
Day 2 was a tough day. We had a lot of activities to do like the Inactive course, Adventure Bridge, Scare Bear, Archery, Abseiling, Canoeing and Environment Ropes. My favourite activity was the Scare Bear. It felt high as the Eureka Tower and the scariest part was the countdown “3, 2, 1!” “AHHH!” I screamed, I thought I was going to die but I was saved by a parachute behind my back. We went back inside and it was all dark and muddy. We changed our clothes and ate dinner and had the disco.
Day 3
Day 3 was the last day at Camp Rumbug so we started to pack-up and put our bags outside. We had breakfast and went to the hall and the Rumbug assistants were showing the lost property. After that we all went outside and had some sausages from the sausage sizzle. We left before St Kevin’s and reached school before the big bus. When the big bus arrived we all got our bags and went home.

Camp Rumbug was a great experience. I had lots of fun there. It is in a type of a rainforest. You can see great views from there. We drove up a long, dusty road and there it was. It looked like a small school. When you walked in the main entrance there were shoe racks. We went through big doors and there was a long corridor with doors along the walls. They gave us our cabins and mine was number 16. It was really big and it had 14 beds in there. There were only twelve of us.

I did a lot of fun activities at Rumbug. We did ten. My two favourite activities were the scare bear, which was a giant swing, and canoeing. In canoeing my partner was Olivia. We nearly fell out of the canoe into the water. It was really funny. We also did a fun and fitness course.

The food at camp wasn’t the best but it was alright. On the first day we had roast lamb for dinner. Through the days we also had lasagna, pancakes and eggs. On the last night, after the night walk through the bush, we toasted marshmallows over a fire. They were really yummy.

I met lots of new people and made lots of new friends. Some of the mew people I met were, Katelyn, Damien, Taylor, Chiara and Luca.

Camp was a great experience and I can’t wait until next year at Camp Cavehill.

If I had to put camp cave hill creek into one word I would say it was AWESOME!!! I enjoyed all of the activities my favourite
would have to be canoeing, my partner was Chelsea and boy she would not stop screaming! I got wet because Chantelle and i had a water fight. The concert and disco was
a blast and it was fun to see my friends and classmates
do acts and the teachers dance. My
cabin for camp was full of all my friends we all had so much fun we all ate so much lollies we felt sick!!The most exciting part at camp was when we arrived and saw our cabins.I thought camp was a great learning experience and I would never regret going even though my feet hurt.On the last night everyone went on a bush walk I was so scared because everyone said that there was DROP BEARS and all the boys wouldn't stop scaring us, but I kinda felt safe because me and my friends all walked in a group.I felt sad on the last day because I didn't want to leave as I had got used to my cabin and the camp.I would never forget comimg to camp Cave Hill Creek, I can't wait till next year....Rumbug here we come!!

On Wednesday the 10th of October, grade 5/6 C and grade 5/6 J went to camp. It was a 3hr trip.
The first activity for me was archery. I was excited to hear that I’m doing archery. The closest I got was in the red which is one level down from Bulls-eye!!
I felt a sense of achievement when I did that.
Next up was Mountain Biking. When i saw the bikes, I said to myself, “I can’t ride those big bikes!” Then I did.
I was proud of myself. Then Jordan .M and myself got lost.
We both were worried. Then we found Mrs. McHugh. We were relieved. After that was canoeing. I felt a tingle go down my spine.
I was paired with Julian. Julian was scared when I swung the boat. I couldn’t wait to get into to the reeds because I wanted to see leech. Not on me though! Yuk.
Last but not least we did a rope course.
Everyone couldn’t wait to do it because it was so fun. When I finished the course once, I was determined to do it again. I ended up doing it four times!! It was so fun and I want to do it again. One of the times when I felt a bit awkward is dinner because I m a very fussy eater!
On the third day I missed my mum when I was bike riding, I sort of missed my sister’s singing, music and her nagging at night and I missed my dad’s annoying questions at dinner.

This gave me an experience of a life time. I can’t wait until we got o Camp Rum Bug. I hope the food is good next time!!

Last week the fives and sixes went to camp Cave hill creek it was the best school camp ever. My favourite activity was the canoeing. It was so fun and it was a great experience for me. I went in the canoe with Daniel he kept on rocking it and I didn’t want to fall in because I fell in last year with Kevin. It was so relaxing just looking in the water and watching the wind make little waves. A few times I saw some ducks there were so cute. The life jackets were so cold but I didn’t mind. When I went in the canoe Mr.c pushed us off of the sand bank the canoe started rocking and I thought I would fall in. I didn’t want to fall In because I heard that Amanda fall in and got bitten by a leach.

Archery is my favourite activity. I had a magnificent shot. It was a bulls-eye. COOL. I thought it was awesome. I was so happy. Although I think it might have been players luck. It was the first time I did archery and I'm happy that I got a bulls-eye I would love to go next year because camp was a blast of excitement this year. I already can't wait till next year. My feelings about sport is happy and joyful. and I could not go to sleep because of all the excitement.I cant wait for next year.

Camp was an amazing experience one that I had never experienced before. The activities were amazing; the food was great and the wildlife was an amazing sight. Some of my favourite activities were canoeing, archery, hut building, biking and low ropes there was a few more but I didn’t like them as much. On the first night we went on a night walk, the teachers tried to scare us by saying a few years ago a boy got grabbed around the neck by a drop bear and he ran which is the worst thing you can do, so you better stay in pairs or groups. On the first night in the cabins none of us could get to sleep because Lydia was making so much noise, but eventually we got to sleep. The next morning we had breakfast and after that we went onto our next few activities and one of my activities that day was canoeing. As we walked to the canoe shed I started getting nervous and as I was hopping into the canoe it was shaking and wobbling I felt like I was going to fall right out of the canoe but luckily I didn’t. After the canoeing we went to another activity and then to lunch. We sat by the lake and some of us were even looking for the platypus. Soon enough it was the end of the day and it was coming to the end of camp. The next day everyone was packing their bags and getting ready to go and soon enough we were gone.
